DOROTHEA KUTH
After my attendance at Waldorf School, I became a nurse, married, had five children and have long been a passionate mother.
Later, I attended a part-time Waldorf teacher training and taught during the next fifteen years in Waldorf Schools in Germany, England, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.
In 2012, I became physically ill and had to give up my teaching work. I went to Hoathly Hill Sculpture Studio for sculpture therapy and after one and a half years, began a training in sculpture and drawing, which led to a diploma.
I also completed an art therapy training course for schools in Munich.
I discovered my love of art during therapy – for which I am deeply grateful, because it has led me through my own healing process to link me back to my profession of nursing, healing and teaching.
Now, I work in Hoathly Hill Sculpture Studio with children and adults in groups or one-to-one.
My work with children, using creative play and learning to facilitate children in a positive way for healthy development, includes:
· Home schooling
· Learning and developmental challenges
· After school care
Sessions take place in the protected grounds of Hoathly Hill - playground, gardens and woods or in the Sculpture & Pottery studios.
Adults may feel free to explore their own creativity and get support if they would like to.
