PATRICK STOLFO
Fine Arts degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 1976; sculpture training and teaching at Emerson College, England under A. John Wilkes 1977-81; M.A. in Waldorf Education from the Waldorf Institute of Mercy College of Detroit in 1986.
As a freelance artist Patrick has mainly worked in terra-cotta, wood and stone carving, cast stone, and drawing. His sculptures and graphics have been exhibited and/or commissioned in Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, California, Sweden, and England.
Since 1981 he has taught at the middle and high school levels in clay sculpture, ceramics, wood and stone carving, drawing, and the history of art and architecture.
At the adult level Patrick has taught courses in Waldorf pedagogy, anthroposophical studies, sculptural and graphic arts, aesthetics, and the history of art and architecture in numerous programs across North America - but primarily as a founding, core faculty member and co-administrator of the Alkion Center for Waldorf Teacher Education at Hawthorne Valley, and as an adjunct instructor at Antioch University New England and the Center for Anthroposophy in Wilton, New Hampshire.
