Séamus MAYNARD

Séamus Maynard is an actor, poet, composer, songwriter, musician and teaching artist. He is a founding member of Developing The Self Developing The World; a social initiative, arising from The Inner Work Path (see link bellow). As an artist, Séamus performs music and solo theatre pieces in a variety of contexts around the world. Along with performing, Séamus teaches speech and drama on behalf of Developing the Self in Australia, America, the UK and Europe.

He studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, speech formation at the Artemis School of Speech and Drama, and guitar performance and composition with internationally acclaimed composer/guitarist, Ed Flower. 

As an actor, he has worked with The Actors Ensemble (Hudson NY), Triple Shadow (NYC), Improbable Theatre (London), Le Groupov at the Belgium National Theatre and is a founding member of Third Wheel Collective, a theatre company, based in upstate New York. In addition to working as a solo guitarist, he composes and performs with Living Roots; a folk duo, that draws on folk, rock, gospel, classical and sacred music influences. He also composes and performs with Quiet In The Head a violin/guitar duo.
